About Us
Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Life Care Retirement Communities, Inc. (LCRC) was founded in 1976 as a guiding sponsor for newly developed retirement communities. The goal was simple — help create exceptional, financially sound communities so that people could enjoy a more rewarding and secure retirement.
- LCRC is a not-for-profit organization and the fifth largest provider of not-for-profit retirement communities nationwide.
- We own and manage a network of 11 Life Care communities in seven states.
Satisfaction and Success
At LCRC, we've always measured our success by how well our communities meet the needs of people who live in them. That's why we work so closely with residents — taking care to grow and shape each community as it was meant to be.
- We routinely conduct surveys to ensure residents are satisfied and make enhancements and changes based on their feedback.
- We have an open book policy that fully disclosures all aspects of community operations, including finances.
- Resident committees help direct funding, provide feedback and oversee community operations.
Professional Experience
Creating strong, stable communities simply doesn't happen overnight. It takes considerable commitment and expertise. LCRC brings 30 years of experience and dedication as well as knowledgeable professionals to every decision.
- Our nine-member Board of Directors includes professionals in management, finance, health care administration, insurance, accounting, construction, real estate and food service.
